Male Waxing and Intimate Waxing

Male waxing by a male therapist, in a private studio in Greenwich, South London SE10. Back, chest, shoulders and intimate areas are all treated in the same straightforward way, with no fuss and no awkwardness.

Waxing removes hair from the root, so results last considerably longer than shaving. After the first few appointments most men get around six weeks of smooth skin, and regrowth comes back softer rather than as sharp stubble.

I use peelable hot wax on sensitive and intimate areas because it grips the hair rather than the skin, and strip wax on larger areas such as the back and legs. Every treatment finishes with a soothing skin oil.

Male Waxing Treatments

Intimate Waxing

The most requested treatment in the studio, and completely routine here. The full intimate wax covers the crack, cheeks, testicles, shaft and pubic area, using hot wax on the most sensitive parts and strip wax where it is more comfortable.

  • Full intimate wax, front and back

  • Back only, the crack and cheeks

  • Front only, the testicles, shaft and pubic area

  • Hot peelable wax used throughout the sensitive areas

  • Finished with a skin treatment oil

Back Waxing

A clean back with no stubble and no reaching around with a razor. The treatment covers the lower back up to the top of the shoulders.
  • Full back, lower back to the top of the shoulders
  • Shoulders can be added or treated on their own
  • Results generally last around six weeks
  • Reduces the ingrown hairs that come with shaving

Chest and Stomach Waxing

  • Chest waxing covers the stomach and chest up to the top of the shoulders. The hair can be taken off completely or, if you prefer, left tidier rather than bare.
  • Chest and stomach to the top of the shoulders
  • Full removal or a neater trim and shape
  • Popular before holidays, weddings and events
  • Often booked together with back waxing

    Arms, Legs and Underarms

Larger areas that are quick to wax and easy to maintain, chosen most often by cyclists, swimmers, runners and anyone who currently shaves them.
    • Full legs, from the thigh or speedo line to the ankle
    • Full arms, shoulder to wrist
    • Underarms
    • Ear and nostril waxing

Shaving and Clippering

If waxing is not for you, or you want a quick tidy up rather than a longer lasting result, any area can be clippered or wet shaved instead. Intimate wet shaving uses shaving foam and a safety razor.
    • Intimate wet shave, crack, cheeks, testicles and shaft
    • Front only or back only
    • Clippering to any length on any body area
    • A good first step if you are nervous about waxing

Butt and Back Facials

A short skin treatment that pairs well with waxing and helps keep the skin clear afterwards. The butt facial is often booked straight after an intimate wax to calm the area down.
  • Butt facial, a cooling mask and moisturiser after intimate waxing
  • Back facial, cleanse, exfoliate, mask and moisturise
  • Back and butt facial combined
  • Helps prevent the spots and bumps that follow hair removal

Why Get Waxed at MOT

A man, waxing men

Every client is male and every treatment is carried out by me. Nothing here needs explaining or apologising for, which is what most men are looking for when they book intimate waxing for the first time.

Nobody sees you arrive

The studio has a private entrance and only ever one client at a time. It is a short walk from Maze Hill station with street parking outside, and no one needs to know you have been.

Quick, efficient appointments

Treatments are booked to realistic times and run to them. There are no consultations you did not ask for and no products pushed on you at the end, so you can get back to your day.

Everything under one roof

If waxing becomes a chore, laser hair removal is available in the same studio for a longer term result, and a full body massage can be booked alongside a wax as a combination appointment.

FAQs

Does male waxing hurt?

There is a sharp sting as the wax is removed, strongest on the first appointment and on intimate areas. It fades within seconds, and most men find it far more manageable than they expected. Regular appointments hurt less as the hair grows back finer.

How long does my hair need to be?

Around 1cm, which means leaving at least three weeks since your last shave, or four weeks since your last wax. Please do not trim or shave it yourself beforehand, because if the hair is too short the wax cannot grip it. If it is very long I will clipper it down at the start of the appointment.

How long do the results last?

If you are new to waxing, aim for three treatments four weeks apart, which catches the hair at all three growth stages. After that most men settle into a wax every five to six weeks, and long term regulars can often stretch it to eight. Hair grows back softer and finer than it does after shaving, without the sharp stubble stage.

How much does male waxing cost?

Intimate waxing is £45 for the full area or £35 for the front or back only, and back or chest waxing is £45. Smaller areas such as underarms start at £25. Full current prices are on the pricing page, and combination deals are shown when you book.

What should I do before and after my appointment?

Shower before your appointment, but not within the hour beforehand. Afterwards, keep the area cool and clean and avoid hot baths, saunas, sunbeds, swimming and the gym for 48 hours. Everything else worth knowing is in the waxing care guide, including how to deal with ingrown hairs between appointments.
